Maternity shoots, to me, are all about love: the love that created a new human, the love that a mom and a dad have for their baby whom they’ve never met, the love that gets you through the ups and downs of pregnancy. I especially love hearing the love story that started the whole thing. Kara and her husband, E, met in high school – freshman year. The second time they talked, E told Kara that he was going to marry her. Needless to say, she thought he was crazy – but by junior year they were dating. Upon graduating, Kara went off to college and E to the military – they both thought it was the end of their relationship. But at Christmas, Kara picked up E from the airport and they reconnected…three months later they were married. BUT then they lived apart for three years while Kara finished college and E was still in the military. They’ve now been married for eight years and let me tell you, the love is strong with these two. They clearly adore each other, and after all these years haven’t yet tired of each other or stopped making each other laugh. Their baby boy is going to be born into incredible warmth and love. I absolutely can’t wait to welcome this little guy into the world!
