I met Natalie last fall and just recently have had the opportunity to get to know her a little better. Her husband is in Afghanistan and she is mama to three little girls – the youngest just shy of eleven weeks. She is holding down the fort, dealing with the emotional outbursts of a toddler who doesn’t understand where daddy is, and filling up her girls’ hearts with all the love in the world. The point of the shoot was to capture the nursing relationship she has with her youngest, but I feel a little like it was more about her – her love for her girls, her calm even when screaming seems the more rational option. (I know I would scream if my husband were away and I had three littles to care for on my own!) I loved the relaxed way that she simply moved as one with little Tilly – and are those chubby cheeks not the greatest? This little one is 17 lbs at 11 weeks – yay for mama’s awesome milk!
