I think almost every pregnant mama complains about feeling like a whale at the end of pregnancy. I remember feeling that way too – but when I see a woman just a few weeks away from giving birth, her belly swollen with new life, I am in awe of her beauty and vitality. Behind every sigh of exhaustion, every ache and pain, is a freaking miracle. I mean, how does a new human being grow inside a woman’s belly? I have a son and I still don’t understand it. All I know is, pregnant women rock. To give their body to be home for another for nine months, to withstand all the discomforts and difficulties of bearing life, and to look amazingly beautiful in the process.

I met up with Annie, her husband Adam, and adorable daughter Violet at Meadowlark Gardens a couple of evenings ago. It’s really not fair that she can look this beautiful at 35 weeks pregnant. I think you’ll agree that she has the most perfect belly. It was a gorgeous evening, and get ahold of this light – I wish I could order it in for every session.
