Nathaniel Joseph {Northern Virginia newborn photographer}

First photography post on my new blog – cool. 🙂

Yesterday my husband and I had the pleasure of photographing baby Nathaniel Joseph and his beautiful family. His four-year-old sister Isabella was the cutest thing with the most amazing eyes! As for Nathaniel, he had a full head of hair – the first thing I told mom and dad was that I LOOOOVE babies with hair. He was a doll to work with, pretty low-key and easy to work with as far as newborns go. He even let me curl him a few times, and we didn’t have any accidents while diaperless. This was a beautiful, beautiful family and I especially loved to see the love and joy they had for each other.

Love his baby wrinkles!

My husband Mike is a natural with the camera – he actually took some of my favorite shots from the day, like this one. Love the dramatic shadows here:

I loved, loved, loved photographing Isabella – she had these deep eyes that were oceans of curiosity and thoughtfulness. This gorgeous one of her is also from Mike (I’m totally jealous of this shot) –

But then again, I love the one I captured as well. Can I just say I LOVE shooting wide open? (This was shot at 1.4, for all you photog types out there.)

And no, we didn’t do the whole shoot in black and white, but there was just something so stunning about the black and white for this shoot. It really seemed to capture the timelessness of family love.
