It was the summer of friends getting married: she had seven or eight weddings to go to, and friends kept telling her that at ONE of these weddings, she would “meet someone.” She showed up at that last wedding, skeptical, ready to laugh at all her friends and their silly prediction. But that beautiful August day, she met Matt – and had to go back to her friends and say, “You were right….I DID meet someone at a wedding this summer.”
Three and a half years later, it’s time for her wedding, the day she gets to say “I do” to her soldier, the boy she “met at a friend’s wedding” (how often does THAT happen?)
Mike and I were so happy to get to shoot Matt and Jennie’s engagement session last fall, and we’ve been waiting anxiously for their wedding day ever since! It was one of the happiest weddings I’ve ever been to, and I don’t know if I’ve had that much fun at any wedding reception other than my own! Congratulations, Matt and Jennie – we wish you many long years of such happiness!
